Student Lettings

At Hometrust, we believe our hands-on approach, meeting tenants and resolving issues in a prompt and efficient manner is unique to any other student agency. We are always keen to help and support you.

We pride ourselves on prompt action on all maintenance issues thanks to an enthusiastic team of trusted contractors.

For our student properties, your damage deposit will be securely registered with The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS). We are also members of The Property Ombudsman and we have an excellent working relationship with Exeter City Council, Environmental Health.

Renting a Managed property has the benefit of a dedicated Tenancy Management team to handle your day-to-day issues, a 24-hour helpline with emergency contact details should a problem arise and the assurance that your property is fully compliant with all safety regulations.

Some points to consider if you are thinking of renting a student property through Hometrust:

  • All our properties are let on a joint tenancy agreement so ensure you are comfortable with the group of friends you choose to live with.
  • We are centrally located making it easy for you to visit our office at your convenience.
  • We are on hand to offer advice. We can also spend time working out the best budget and areas for you and your group.
  • We have a range of 2–5-bedroom house located between Streatham and St Lukes Campuses, and the RD&E Hospital.
  • Every student tenancy with Hometrust is 11 months (48-weeks) starting in August/September until July/August (unless otherwise stated and agreed).

Guarantors:

  • All students will require a guarantor should they wish to rent one of our properties.
  • Guarantors must live in the UK and earn at least 3 times the monthly rent.
  • If a student is unable to provide a guarantor, then they will need to 11 months’ rent in advance
